This is nothing more then a casual weblog by Stephen DesRoches. I live on a small island in atlantic Canada where I work full time with the design team of silverorange . I also sometimes get a small bit of credit for the Firefox brand.
Define Focused on Light
I wanted a name primarily related to photography but could also be closely associated with my other interests. I like to think that without focus, the world would be a blur and without light, there would be nothing to focus on.

What Happened to newrecruit?
newrecruit was a screen name I started using in 1997 for unknown reasons and was consistently used for everything. After 10 years, I decided to make a change. You can read a little more about that change here.
